The Lefty Driesell Award is an annual award given to the best defensive player in men's Division I college basketball in the United States. It is named after Lefty Driesell, a former college basketball coach who is known for his emphasis on tough, aggressive defense. The award was first introduced in 2018 and is presented by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC). The winner is selected by a panel of coaches, media members, and former players, and the award ceremony takes place during the Final Four weekend. Some of the past winners of the Lefty Driesell Award include Matisse Thybulle, Zavier Simpson, and Marcus Garrett.
